What is an average CPU load/utilization with 66SF (with or without kamoj add-on)?

Error: OpenVPN client start failed.

Looks as OpenVPN server breaks your attempt to connect. I do not see problems with client (router).

Try to use your OVPN from PC to check that server accept it.

Voxel.

My connection will catastrophically fall of the edge of the cliff for a period of 1-3 minutes, then recovery, and cycle over and over again.
I am not sure. kamoj supposes the problem in torrenting currently because of the last episode of "Game of Thrones". ;-)

Let us wait a bit.

Voxel.

hello and thank you for your suggestion. I found a solution. I restored the router to factory defaults, restored my settings and then tried a new vpn config file. For some reason it works perfectly now!!!!

Good.

BTW, you are using OpenVPN client. Don't you want to try test version with OpenSSL 1.1.1:

https://www.snbforums.com/threads/custom-firmware-build-for-r7800-v-1-0-2-66-1sf-for-testing.56695/

So there are improvement of an encryption speed especially when “-evp” option is used (OpenVPN).

Voxel.

Thanks Voxel ... I was previously running 63SF with my bandwidth limited in QoS and my bufferbloat was a D. (did not limit it a lot to get higher).

I loaded 66SF and my bufferbloat score with the same settings is a C. This is fine by me...very cool.

I do believe my bufferbloat stems from my service tier (100Mbit) and my ISPs docsis 3.0 network as the severe bloat is seen plugged directly into the modem. Eagerly awaiting docsis 3.1 or Fiber.

Hi!
Can the r7800 do 1Gig DL with fiber configured for PPPOE? I am only averaging 600Meg with the stock FW. I read PPPOE turns off NAT ACC on the stock FW and the 7800 max out at 550-600M fro DL. Any ideas? TIA

I would try voxels to see if this happens with this FW loaded.

Is dnscrypt command to enable in telnet still "dnscrypt2=1" ? I see in your notes some dnscrypt1 parts are removed.

Also, does it matter what ntp clock we use to keep DoT working correctly?
