Again, thanx a LOT for your work Mr Voxel. And for the time you spend replying to many posts here (and there?) you're always available and your posts are really detailed and more :)

I am having a problem where I lose DNS after a few hours. I suspect DNSCrypt is crashing. A reboot of the router fixes it, but I'm sure there's an easier way. I'll try to post a log when it happens again.

Hi,

I've got a doubt about the firmware update steps.

This is my workflow:

1. Update the firmware.
2. Reset to factory defaults.
3. Restore previous config with a backup file I did before the first step.

I understand that restoring to defaults, it cleans everything, and then, with my backup file, it restores just the proper data, without any kind of junk.

Am I wrong?

Cheers

Everything was working fine since this morning but I just lost DNS again. I was able to get it back by restarting dnscrypt-proxy-2:

/etc/init.d/dnscrypt-proxy-2 restart

The log /var/log/dnscrypt-proxy-2.log doesn't show anything happening. Is there another log I can look at?

Can somebody post dslreports.com/speedtest results with hi-res bufferbloat enabled in speedtest settings from 5G WLAN while on .72SF firmware?

Do you use your own config /etc/dnscrypt-proxy-2.toml?

dnscrypt-proxy-2 executable binary is used "as-is" in my firmware. It is prepared by author of dnscrypt-proxy-2.

But make sure if you are using your own config that it could be changed from version to version. So if you need your own servers just edit /etc/dnscrypt-proxy-2.toml from latest firmware. Original file (firmware version) is available: /rom/etc/dnscrypt-proxy-2.toml

FYI I do use it for 3 routers. Uptime is more than 3 days and it is working still... My log

Absolutely. I never overwrite the file. The default file gets edited.
