Custom JFFS Scripts RT-AX55

New Around Here
Hi I am trying to load a custom JFFS script to my RT-AX55 so that I can enable configuration for Cloudflare DDNS but I am struggling with knowing how best to go about this. I can ssh fine into the router but there's no SCP, text editor, or standard FTP. Theres a folder for an FTP client but when I attempt to execute it, it just throws a segfault. Without a text editor I cannot fix or diagnose it either. I feel like I must be missing something obvious here. Does anyone have any experience with this router?

Stock firmware doesn't support custom scripts. See this similar post from yesterday: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/g...artup-without-merlin-gnuton.95041/post-959714

Are you sure your router doesn't have the vi editor?
You know what you're right it does have vi, that slipped my mind I only tried nano and vim. Just for my understanding, if there's no support for custom scripts then why is there a jffs folder? I don't see a version of merlin firmware for this model, so what should I do next? RT-AX55 isn't listed in supported devices or unsupported devices. I already paid for this cloudflare domain and I'd rather not have to ditch it.

A lot of data is stored in that partition, like VPN certificates, system logs, configuration settings that don't fit in nvram, traffic monitoring database, web server certificates...

Got it, makes sense. Any chance your firmware will run on my model router? I can of course just try it and see what happens. I'm not really sure what the worst case scenario is if I do

It won't work. The router will reject the firmware if you try and install the firmware of a different model.

Sorry, I don't use stock firmware or use DDNS. Can't you just periodically run the update from another device on your LAN? Otherwise try the method I linked to in my first post.

Without USB port that method won't work
I checked the specs of the RT-AX55 before posting and it appears to have a USB port. Is that not correct?

EDIT: Strange, I've just checked again and there's no mention of USB. It must have redirected me to another product previously and I didn't notice.

EDIT 2: Apologies, it was my fault. Finger trouble. So you're right, he can't use your method.
