Difference between Netgear GS724v1 and GS724v3

Hi !
My home network grown over the 1x8 port +2x5 port I was using and I'm looking to buy a Netgear GS724T switch. The problem is I can buy a new unit which appears is version 3 (also called GS724T-EU300) and a much cheaper, cosmetically challanged GS-724T-100 (version 1). I would chose for the cheaper, second hand unit, but I don't know what improvements/modifications might have Netgear introduced in V3. Anyone knows this ? Do the 3 units have the same firmware ? CPU/RAM ?

Thank you, Phylum
The link you posted fully answer my question.
I'm leaning now toward the more expensive GS724Tv3.

Glad it was useful! Enjoy and let us know what you think of the results. I'm in the market for an 8+ port switch (or VPN/Firewall + Wireless solution) myself and am trying to make an informed decision.

Cheers!
