I understand that pixelserv and type 65 blocking was removed. Just curious whats changed and why these features were removed. Not sure I fully understood type 65 blocking, but from what i could gather it helped block apple ios devices that use https dns requests forcing them to use http? But from what I gather it possibly caused websites to hang? which never seemed to be the case at least for me, but just interested in knowing if a update to dnsmasq fixed that problem.

Should type 65 be blocked anyways if you want full control of dns on your network to use your DoT DNS.

From my release notes:
- Removes type 65 blocking feature, no longer needed.

It means what it says, the new way of blocking by NXDOMAIN in Dnsmasq also stopps that nonsense.

Just got to make sure the domains being queried via type 65 are included in the blocklist or you have to manually block. Piholes conducted research claimed the type65 queries are best blocked either with nxdomain or nodata responses.
