Diversion Diversion cache

So quick question about dnsmasq cache in Diversion it's default set to 1500 I suppose this means DNS caching is enabled. So then what about this function in Merlin under tools other settings "Wan: Use local caching DNS server as system resolver (default: No)" if no does that negate dnsmasq cache?

Also their is a switch for cache under pixelserv-tls which is defaulted to 100 what does this do?

That setting determines what DNS servers the router uses for local lookups (e.g. running nslookup over ssh, setting NTP during boot, running amtm updates). If left as “No” the router will query the WAN DNS servers directly (avoiding dnsmasq and any cached responses). If set to Yes, the router will send those queries to dnsmasq, benefiting from its cache and ability to resolve LAN hostnames. Has nothing to do with the size of the cache.

Thank you for the explanation. Wasn’t quite sure if that disabled the cache overall but makes sense.
