DNS filtering and openDNS

New Around Here
I´m trying to configure the router so that my kids´computers are routed through openDNS. I´ve set the enable DNS filtering tab to on, selected their MAC adresses and set the filtermode to openDNS home. However, when I open my openDNS account there is no data. The IP adress displayed on the openDNS dashboard is correct. What am I missing here?

I know you need to use a DDNS client to tell the OpenDNS servers what your current WAN IP is, otherwise it won't be able to tell if the queries came from you or from someone else.

If their dashboard does show your correct WAN IP, then I don't know - I'm not familiar with exactly how their account-based service works.

Double check what OpenDNS servers you are supposed to use. I thought that "OpenDNS Home" was for a pre-configured service, not their account-based one.

what kind of data are you looking for? OpenDNS home is the account based one. You configure it with an account. OpenDNS family is the preconfig one .

I'm actually the one who confused the Home service with the Family one. Thanks for the clarification.

If you have their client running that does the wan ip sync then the only other thing is turning on stats in your account I think.
