Do these RT-N66U network speed tests look right?

Using Lan Speed Test Lite software I am getting these results. I would love to know if these are considered acceptable/good/within spec etc. Let me know if you need any more information. Thanks!

--------------------------------------
Wired Lan: 100mb file - Using a shared folder on the same computer.

Upload: 13,024 Mbps
Download: 677 Mbps

--------------------------------------

Wireless: 100mb file - 5ghz

Upload: 74 Mbps
Download: 111 Mbps

Ya but I think you have a typo in your wired lan UP speed.

In the review here on SNB you'll find Tim's tests (and explore the other pages in the article to get his testing location notes and stuff).

Also this thread we recently discussed txfr speed of a drive plugged into USB port of router, but in doing so many comparisons and data were offered of what people are getting in the real world.

And here's some data I've collected from my own setup.

Hope this helps . . .

hmm, I wonder if I have it setup correctly.

I made a shared network folder on one of the drives in my pc and am running the test from that same pc.

I just changed the shared folder to a new one on the SSD drive in the pc and these are the results:

Up: 10,251.7420560 Mbps
Down: 4,079.8679840 Mbps

You can't really test LAN speed to and from the same computer. Share a folder on your PC to your network and then use your MacBook and try Helios LAN test (free download) and point it at that folder, from the Mac. Uncheck everything except the 300 MB R & W tests, and I do typically 3 repeats.

When checking from your MB via ethernet, make sure to turn off your Airport in the menubar temporarily.

Ha, that makes sense. I'll try that and report back! You're awesome, thanks.

OK, here are my Helios Wired results.

Write 300 MB file - ~34 MB/s (272 Megabit)
Read 300 MB file - ~48 MB/s (384 Megabit)

That's a very acceptable rate for two computers talking to each other via Gigabit ethernet through this router (or any router).

I can do a little bit faster when doing txfrs to my NAS (still through the router), but computer to computer speeds just in line with yours (in an all gigabit wired network).
