How so?

Online stores don't list the revision number. You have to have the box in hands. Most people don't even know V4 exists.

This is exactly what happened to @fedy. His intention was to run 3rd party firmware on Asus RT-AC68U router. He didn't know it's unsupported V4.

Online stores have return policies for a reason. I choose to go to a brick-and-mortar store myself.
