enabling Wds with 2x Asus RT-N66U

New Around Here
Hello to everyone,

I just bought 2 Asus RT 66U routers and I am having a very hard trime enabling the wirless distribution to work

My setup consists of one of the units being the main router gateway and the other the wireless repeater.

If anyone could offer any advice on this matter I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you.

Just ran into this Asus support article that is labeled for use with rt-n66u. Looks to me like you'll have to interpret it in context to make use of it, but it does describe how to set up WDS:

http://support.asus.com/knowledge.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=11&s=2&m=RT-N66U (VER.B1)&os=&hashedid=n/a

I'm not a big fan of WDS, since it cuts the throughput of each succeeding router in half, but if you want to use it, I hope that this helps. Other things to consider may be powerline networking or MoCA to get a "hard-wired" connection between your main router and AP, or simply running a cable if that's at all practical.
