ESPN Plus not working

I am completely at a loss. everytime I try to watch something on ESPN plus either the site wont load at all or the app won't open or if I can get to the site I either can't play anything as I just get an error saying this media can't be played etc etc. So not sure what to do. If I am on my phone and turn off the WIFI and Use 5G I can play a stream of a game but once I turn Wifi back on it won' work. I am using an RT-AX86S with Firmware:3004.388.9_2. I do have Diversion installed and have completely turned that off and still no change. So just lost as to what to try. I have all the AI protection stuff off so any help you can provide is greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Do you use a VPN by any chance?

No I do not
Do you have smartconnect enable or did you split the bands and use 2.4ghz and 5ghz? Does it do it on both bands while connected? Is it all devices (i.e. laptop, tablet, phone) won't connect to ESPN while using WiFi?

Also do you use WPA2-personal or WPA3 under wireless settings? I know some devices have issues on WPA3.

No Bands are Split 2.4 and 5GHZ and oddly enough I can get my one Onn streaming box in the bedroom to work. Also it's WPA2 Personal and i've tried my phone on both 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ but no change. but I can't get any of my desktops or phones to work and my other newer onn box in the living room won't work either. I;ve tried 3 or 4 browsers on two different desktops and I can get to the site and go to where the games are but nothing will load.

This indeed an odd issue...do you use your own modem or its from Comcast?
What model is it?

Have you tried resetting router or try stock fw?

My own Motorola MB8600 and I guess I could try resetting the router and or stock firmware, just wanted to run through any other options before going down that route. Funny thing is it was working fine last year and I only watch ESPN plus during college soccer season which is August to like October so I didn't really watch it for over a year. Also odd that my one Onn Box in the bedroom works.

All other streaming services/apps work? Do you get an error number? Im sure you already tried restarting the router and modem correct...

I guess I haven't tried every one but all the ones we use in the house seem to work just fine. Also on my Roku TV I can get to the game page and I click play and it just brings up the ESPN logo and spins forever. On my One Onn Box in the living room I get to the same point and it just eventually kicks me back out to the main ESPN page. On my Desktops and Laptops, I can get to the game page but no play button so I can't click anything. On my phone it spins and just eventually said error this media can't be played or just says oh no connection issue but gives no code, and on my Xbox Series S the app won't even load just says sorry, something went wrong when I tried to open it. Then on the onn box in the bedroom it just works.

The other odd thing is if I turn the WIFI off on my phone and load up the game and then turn the WIFI back on I can cast the game to my TV

So maybe the ESPN service/app just sucks and it's not even a router issue??

Try unplugging both router and modem for a couple of minutes. Once they're up, try to access the ESPN plus.

OK I'll give that a try maybe not tonight it's getting late but when I do I'll report back here.

Thanks again for your suggestions and patience it's much appreciated.

I believe Diversion and Skynet use the same blocking list if you have both installed. What worked for me in similar situations was using Diversion to monitor the device while launching the app. This helped identify which specific domains needed to be whitelisted. The steps to do that are below.
