Pretty sure it only happened recently but the two nodes are not accepting any Wifi client connections. I noticed that the nodes have an error message suggesting that the Ethernet backhaul is not working.

If I disconnect the ethernet at the node is goes offline suggesting that the ethernet backhaul is working and is the only thing that is working.

I have all new gear and the latest firmware
3.0.0.4.386_39648-g788207a on AC68U
3.0.0.4.385_20632-gfc5326d on AC67U

Here is the error message;

To make sure a good connection for your AiMesh system, please make sure you have connected all the node(s) to the uplink AP with ethernet cable(s).
Otherwise, your node(s) might lose its uplink connection.

* If you have already set up connection priority for node(s), please confirm your setup match correspondingly.

* The following node(s) do not fully support this feature temporarily.
RT-AC67U (Yard), RT-AC67U (Living Room)
Your configurations might not work as expected. Please regularly check your firmware version of the node(s) are up-to-date.

Of note the bit about "* The following node(s) do not fully support this feature temporarily." Does that mean it will come back in the next firmware upgrade or is it suggesting their is some other temporary condition that will change??

Hope someone can help, I couldn't find any similar issues in my searches.

Sounds like the AC67 does not yet support a wired backhaul. Does it work with a wireless backhaul?

Have the same issue with the RT-AC68U.

it says it supports ethernet backhaul, but when I try to out I get the error you mention above and the network breaks. I have to reset the device to get it back
