Extremely confused......

If I did decide to share internet access from Network 1 to Network 2, how would I go about doing this?
Absent of having a router you are now better using a layer3 switch for sharing. I would drop the dual NICs and use IP VLANs. You do not want to start routing with your machine for a production network.

You should avoid having your production machines connected to the internet. Theres a lot of firewall to configure to actually prevent hacking and even than you also have your internal machines and people to secure as well. one open port and a bot will be all over you.

Yeah, I guess it is a smart idea to keep the production network separate from the company network and Internet. I was just trying to learn a little more about the possibilities. So far, so good, with the connection the way it is now so, I better leave well enough alone. Lol. Thanks guys, I really appreciate everyone taking the time out of their day to help me out.

The best scenario is to use a dedicated machine not your workstation. If your workstation gets infected it may attack the production network. Import all software and run it by a virus scanner before you upgrade production machines.
