Hi,

So I'm very linux-y, so command line isn't a problem.
I'm looking to connect an 8 TB USB 3.0 Disk to my RT-AC5300.
The idea is for me to put some pictures on there as a back up.
Then I plan on looking at a scripted backup offsite solution them into the cloud offsite.
Maybe
Thinking of Backblaze/SpiderOak or something similar.
Any Recommendations would be stellar.

I assume I can format as ext4?
Does this firmware automatically mount somewhere?

Can I login to the router and partition/format right on the router?

Thanks,
Debu

The router has fdisk and mkfs.

Once you plug your USB device in it will all become obvious.;)
