I've got a router ASUS RT-AC88U. Some days ago I have charged the firmware DD-WRT v3.0-r30949 (12/15/16). Now I want to return to the original firmware (Version 3.0.0.4.382.15850) but I'm not able to downgrade. When I try, my PC cannot find the net (in order to access to the configuration screen 192.168.1.1 I have to force the ip address , the router DCHP seems not to be working). I have tried both with a PC and a MAC:
-With Mac it's easier to access to the configuration screen of the firmware . I've tried with the "firmware restoration tool" to inject the original firmware but (with Mac) after 20% upload the program gives me a MAC address error and ask me to check the connection between pc and router.
-If I use the same tool with windows the router is not seen at all.
I have also tried to charge the original firmware in the section firmware upgrade in the configuration screen of the DD-WRT both with LAN and with Wi-Fi: the firmware file seems to be completly charged, the router restarts as if the new firmware is successfully installed, but then it reappears the configuration screen of the DD-WRT (as if there have been only a factory reset of the device).
I have also tried to charge the firmware ASUS Merlin but the result is the same.
finally, I've tried to charge an older version of the original ASUS firmware but I get the same result.
Please, help me!!!!
