Firmware with full (passthrough) VPN support for my Netgear Nighthawk R7000

Hi,

I have a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 with stock firmware. The router works well, but I am now in a situation where I need to have all traffic pass through a VPN connection. If I were to flash new firmware which options do I have that offers this kind of VPN support? As I understand it stock firmware doesn't. My VPN provider is PrivateInternetAccess.

Thanks, I am prepared to do that, but wanted to know if there's one that is considered better than the others.

I would go with DD-WRT, it may appear daunting and not very user friendly at first but once you get the hang of it, you won't look back. You can also do things like adjusting wifi radio power which you may find useful
