Got fiber today (1GB) if by passing the supplied router Erro 6 and connecting to the Asus AX58U my download speed is 600 or if using the Erro 6 and not using the Asus, DL speeds are 900 or so
Is that normal?

Not normal. As a troubleshooting step, did you reset the RT-AX58U prior to connecting to the Fiber's Ethernet line? Reset the Asus router, manually reconfigure it (without importing a saved router.cfg file) with default settings then test again.

Eero 6 is built around faster Qualcomm IPQ6000 hardware with quad-core A53 1.8GHz CPU. If the fiber connection is PPPoE it may perform better than entry-level RT-AX58U on Gigabit line.

No I did not

Check the WAN-LAN speed with wired client first to exclude Wi-Fi related factors. Check Tx/Rx Rate in Asus GUI (System Log menu, Wireless log tab) for the wireless client you are testing with. Close to the router AX-class 2-stream client has to show 1200Mbps.
