Hello There

I have an issue with my Asus RT-AC5300. No method is working to update the firmware. I tried web interface, Rescue mode, Braodcom min-iweb server and TFTP.

It may be a hardware issue. Is there a command line or tool that exist to check is any of the components have a failure?

Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

No. All you can do is look at the syslog and dmesg output for errors. You could open the case and attach a serial cable to see the messages at the very start of the bootup process.

Thanks for the reply. Will try the logs. It will be interesting to see what get.

Update 1
- Could not make out if there was something in the logs
- but connection the router to the internet allowed me to upgrade the firmware
- not really sure why it worked though

Anyway, all back to normal.

Thanks for the help
