Has anyone managed to install RT-AC88U firmware on DSL-AC88U?

Hello everyone,

My first post! I want to access VPN toggle through the app (don't even know whether it's reachable through ASUS's official app or not), and it says it does not support DSL versions. Since I don't use the DSL modem, I am totally ok to install RT-AC88U firmware on it.

Is it achieved without issue before?

Note: Or any other way to toggle client VPN (OpenVPN) on/off very easily?

RT-AC88U firmware is solely for the RT-AC88U.

You can't. They use completely different hardware.
