HomePlug 500 interoperability

I have a set of Netgear 5001 adapters right now to connect down/upstairs.

I am thinking of adding a ZyXEL 4-port adapter (PLA4225). Anyone know if they inter-operate well? ZyXEL unit is not certified, but they are both based on the same Atheros chipsets.

I can always get a Netgear Nano adapter & a switch, but I don't want to use up the extra outlet.

I ordered one. I will report back the result when I get it configured.
It is going to replace one of my 5Ghz wireless bridge (wndr3700 bridge <-> wnhde111).
