Homeplug Teaming Bonding ?

Ive heard of people teaming and bonding two network cards together to make it look like one connection to get extra bandwidth but i wonderd if anybody has tried it with 4 homeplugs to try and force more bandwidth through the mains. ?

That won't work. Homeplug adapters work more like wireless (Wi-Fi) than wired Ethernet. Where each Gigabit Ethernet NIC pair can have maximum bandwidth of 2000 Mbps (receive + transmit), HomePlug has a maximum bandwidth due to a finite set of frequencies used. More adapters simply share the same bandwidth.

As homeplugs do alot of error checking plus failed packets with mains noise i wondered with twice the amount of signal strength that more complete packets of data would get through with the available frequencies.

Just as with wireless, the higher the signal to noise ratio, the higher the bandwidth. But maximum bandwidth is a function of the frequencies used, which are limited.
