How do I send a donation to Adamm and other addon maintainers?

Do you have an alternative? Because that's the only way to make this information available. We're not talking about 5-6 sticky FAQ posts that people would ignore, but a single sticky containing valuable information that can be used as a reference.
Do as you think is best but my opinion is clear and the forum has no alternative the way it is run at the moment.

I fully agree with you that too many stickies is useless, and does disrupt the display. I wish I could reduce the number of stickies in the main Asuswrt-Merlin sub-forum. Most sub-forums here already have one or two stickies, so as long it remains limited, I think it will have more beneficial impacts for everyone involved.

But ultimately a sticky about donations is for you guys, not for me. Do the majority of addon developers want a sticky post here that allows users to quickly see who they can donate to and how?

You're against it. What about the rest of you guys?

I'm in favour of making the donation link thread sticky

I’m OK with it, but maybe instead of being donation-focused it should be a sticky post with active add-ons listed, with links to current threads, github source (or website, etc.) and an optional donation link.

Which would have to be edited whenever one thread gets older than six months. A tiring task if you ask me. Also, that thread gets loked too, so no discussion about it in the same thread.
I know I sound pessimistic, but it is what it is and WE can't change it.

I agree with that, having stickies referring to the various addons themselves is impractical, and will probably be ignored by most users anyway.

All the main addons generally get enough activity that their main threads should rarely fall beyond the second page, plus the prefix filters make things easier to locate things.

Very Stoic. :)

We can’t change it, so we decide individually if we can live within the new rules (whether we agree with them or not) or we leave (which seems to be the tact of one outspoken developer).

For me, one gracious forum member wants to do something to help the community. I don’t want to discourage such initiative.

If we only have the one sticky thread, then do it, @JGrana will have to maintain it for a long time. Again, an open discussion of its content will be impossible by the time Biden has been in office for two months.

I have been hanging around this forum for years. I expect to be hanging around for many more (crossing fingers and knocking on wood)
I will maintain it, gladly!

Done, and I also moved the discussions to a separate thread.

Don't worry, I do intend to keep sticky posts to a bare minimum.

There just don't appear to be a way to get around paypal. At least not a reasonable alternative.
