Wi-Fi Lite on my Dell XPS with Rivet Wireless - looking at Aruba AP's
vs.
MacBook Pro - WiFi Explorer

Granted the app is just a -tool- to set a baseline, but the results seem to be about 14DB difference between the data I see on the Windows setup vs Mac Setup

WinFi Lite, correct?

MacBook Pro probably has three antennae and a better wireless card. :)

HI,

Were you able to get the SNR [on wifi chipset in DELL laptops]?

If so, how, can you plz detail?

Thanks

Aside from curiousity, why do you care about this measurement?

i am working on a research aspect in wifi clients and one of the parameters required is SNR and i could not find it on any INTEL wifi client. plz let me know if you have more info on this

You might have better luck getting stats reporting from Linux. Windows isn't very helpful.

Keep in mind that anything based on RSSI can't really be compared between chipset vendors.
