How to monitor USB disk activity.

Greetings! I'm running an RT-AX86U with the latest Merlin firmware. Can anyone explain how to monitor USB disk activity? I hear my USB drive clicking away all the time even though no devices are connected to the router. I have physically unplugged the WAN connection and the activity continues. Thanks in advance.

It's a known issue with ASD in the 386.9 firmware. It will be fixed in 386.10.

Sorry, I missed that.

Whatever the equivalent is for the AX routers.

If that's not the OP's problem then look at USB Application > Servers Center > Media Server as a possible cause.

Thanks for the replies. Media Server, FTP and NFS are all off. Only using SMB.
