How to Setup DDNS? - FREEMYIP.COM Via GUI in 3004.388.9_2

New Around Here
I'm been running Merlin for years on my routers and on my current router Asus RT-AX86U I am trying to get the DDNS using the drop down list which indicates it works with FREEMYIP.COM however I am unable to figure out how to setup the whole 3 fields. Internet searches for the past 2 days has not helped much other than to tell me I need to write a script and use Custom. If that is true, why is FREEMYIP.COM listed in the drop down list?

Regardless of the GUI, I still need to setup the router to update the DDNS as needed. If that is a script, so be it. Before I do that, I am hoping to hear of a GUI setup so I do not have to write a script.

Any pointers would be welcome.

Additionally I do have a BASH script I run on my TrueNAS machine, however the TrueNAS machine may be down for some reason and the Router should ensure the DDNS server gets an update when required.

Thank you for the information. Below is my "now" working setup.

Here is what I have setup now and I just tested it and verified it works.
Host Name: domain (mydomainname.freemyip.com)
Username or E-mail Address: nulluser
Password or DDNS Key: Token (abcdef98765ou812)
Enable wildcard & WAN IP verification: enabled

What I'm not certain about is the "wildcard". As I understand it, it would be similar to this scenario:
My DDNS is "birddog.myfreeip.com" but with a wildcard set, I would also update "*.myfreeip.com". But it does work with the wildcard enabled and I question if the wildcard would even make any change.

I am deselecting the wildcard and tomorrow morning I will be able to reboot my router and see if a new IP address is posted. Why tomorrow morning? My IP address lease time is quite long, so if I want to force an IP address change, I need to wait for the lease to expire. Why must I fiddle with this further when I know it works? I've just got to know.

Again, your help has been very valuable.

The wildcard option allows resolving of my-subdomain.my-domain.freemyip.com to your IP.
In case of freemyip this feature should be working out of the box, so that checkbox might not be necessary.
For other services that option is opt-in when updating, NO-IP used to have a toggle for this in domain settings somewhere on their website, no idea if that's still the case.
