I will be Terminating cat6a 23awg for the first time , I've order all my tools except my crimp-er and waiting on my cable cat6a 23awg 650MHz UTP. I had order some : Cat6a/Cat7 RJ45 Modular Plug 22awg/26awg and Cat6a RJ45 Keystone Jacks Metal Shielded .
I see a lot of u tube on doing cat5e and cat6 but not much on cat6a I know the color standard is B it's easy on the Keystone Jacks when the code is on the sides , but the plugs I've never done before and they come with inserts? I know you line up the wires in code B but the insert looks like it staggers the wires instead of a strait line? Do I cut the wires at the insert or 1/8 inch out before sliding it in to the plug then crimp?
