Huawei e173 modem problem

Hello, thanks for reading... i have this huawei usb modem e173 s-6, it has an sd card port which works fine... i wanted to use it to store my ps2 games and be able to play them... the problem is my ps2 wont recognize the sd card, i think its caused by a CD-ROM feature that is emulated on the usb... so i wanted to get rid of it and see if i can use it only as a sd card adapter... i dont know if thats gonna fix it, but i want to try... can you help me to disable this CD-ROM thing??
