Installing Asuswrt-Merlin on a new router

I've just ordered an Asus RT-AX86U. When it arrives, is there any reason to fully configure it running Asuswrt before switching to Merlin? I assume I'll have to minor stuff like naming the router, changing the admin account name, setting a password, etc., but is there any reason to set up the Wifi config, etc?

No. Just flash straight away once you've completed the Quick Initial Setup, and start configuring the rest after that.
