Android app occasionally changes settings.
Like yesterday it turned port forwarding off when i know it was on.

What feature does this app offer that so many people are requesting remote access? All I want to do is be able to fire up my guest network remotely instead of walking my wife through it over the phone and I don't see guest network options anywhere.

This feature is not the as the name on your router, you can go to "more" page and choose "shared WiFi" , then choose share wifi to your friends,will create a guest network

Apps can offer just as much, or even more, than a WebGUI... but going into a SmartPhone/Tablet, it's really the UI/UX implementation that matters...

Good example of UI on an App is Apple's Airport Utility - hits all the salient points without getting cluttered - Linksys SmartWiFi IOS app on the other hand, probably demonstrates how not to do things - Netgear's is somewhere in the middle...

Google's OnHub is another good example of how to do a smartphone app UI - it's pretty decent...
