iPhone Router app problem

I have the Asus router app installed on my iPhone 6 and it was working fine with my RT-N66U which I just upgraded to an Asus RT-AC3100 and seems to be working great. I have tried using the router app with the router and the app finds the new router, but goes into an infinite loop when I try logging in. The old router is no in service and I have gone so far as to delete and re-install the router app with the same results.

Any ideas on what might be happening? Is the AC3100 supported by the app?
