IPsec client from ASUS router

Hi there

i want to set up an IPSec tunnel from my home router to a new VPN service to do some testing for my job. I don’t think IPSec is supported in the standard ASU’S firmware, so would my best bet be to install merlin and then add strongswan?

My firmware does not support IPSEC clients either, only server (and only on specific models - the RT-AC68U for instance is not supported due to kernel compatibility issues).

Maybe you can tweak Odkrys script to use IPSEC IKEv2 client with strongswan.

If you have the RT-AC86u strongswan is already installed with latest Merlin's firmware.
