Hi. DDNS does not work on my router as I asked for help here . Even my static IP would not connect to the router GUI. However, if in the router settings, if DMZ the router itself (192.168.1.1), everything works. Is it safe to DMZ the router 'itself'? And also, why DDNZ only works when I DMZ the router? It is a router issue because my old router works with the same modem.

My router is Asus RT-AX88U and the connection is VDSL2 with static IP.

I didn’t know this was even possible on a consumer router, probably shouldn’t be.
