New Around Here
Hi all,

I have an RT-AC87U and just applied the latest stable firmware; RT-AC87U_384.10_2.trx using the standard method via the routers web interface.

Now when I log in, and land on http://192.168.1.1/index.asp I am presented with this screen:
https://prnt.sc/n8lfmf

Grey, blanked over and I cannot click on the "ASUS NOTICE" hidden behind the grey overlay...

Any ideas, I powered off and on, same issue. It is going to be difficult to revert back to a previous version if I cannot access the router's web interface.

Any thoughts, help, guidance appreciated.

Try flushing the browser cache and/or trying a different browser to login to the Asus web gui

Thanks,

Using the ASUS Router Android App I logged into the Router and the prompts came up in the App, I dealt with them all and now when I login via Chrome browser the grey screen is gone and I can interact with the router's web interface.

I did this before trying what @GuruGuy said.

One thing to check, there was a time using the ASUS app, that it opened the WAN interface to the Internet which most consider to be a Very. Bad. Thing. to do.
Check under Administration -> System and see these two items bottom of page. IF you want them enable, be very certain of why and that you have them secure!

Thanks, indeed it did default those settings as you advised! Reverted back to LAN only access. Good call! Thank you again!

Never using their app is the safest bet. A future update could result in more unexpected changes to settings without your knowledge. I just use the web GUI. Merlin fixes the weaknesses for us and makes the default settings safe. The user is always in control and warned before risky actions.

Do you have the "I don't care about cookies" plugin in your Chrome browser, as that can sometimes cause issues like that with disclaimers. If so, disable the plugin for the Asus page in its settings.
