Just Got RT-N66

I am with virgin media 100mb and there router is poor for wirless

i got this to ensure hd streaming to ipad and apple tv etc

now i am on 112 stock firmware

now is there any basic settings that i need to change to ensure i have correct settings

i see people changing like channel bandwidth, DTIM interval, TX Bursting and Tx Power

i have downloaded inSSIDer and RSSI is 37 and 35, next RSSI is 68

i have changed the channel to 11 as neighbor is with virgin and its showing as channel 1 for them

i am not really interested in other features of the device as just got for extending the wireless, so should i stick on stock firmware or go tomato

Do you have WPA2 enabled ?

Yes, i enabled that as it was only on WPA
