Latest Merlin or fork firmware for rt-n66u

I’m still rocking a RT-N66U as a AP….anyone still using one and if so….which stable “fork” firmware are you running

I wouldn't bother installing custom firmware on this router in AP mode. Latest available official Asuswrt is from 06/2020. Good enough.

K…how bout even in repeater mode…I know adding it to my aimesh isn’t gonna work so…just trying to make sure it has the latest and greatest it can have (Merlin or fork version).

Same thing. All you need is latest available wireless drivers, included in Asuswrt stock firmware. AP/Repeater don't do routing.

Ugh...think i'm gonna just retire the RT-N66U...i've had it forever....think i'll replace it with another RT-AC86U as a node on my aimesh.

Use it as wireless bridge to wired devices instead. Media Bridge mode in Asuswrt.
