I run my Asus RT-AC66U in media bridge mode, the link rate on the main page shows 1170 mbps, however going to the wireless log I find out that only mt tx is 1170, while my rx is only 6.

Other AC devices on the network connect to the main access point at 300+/300+

any idea what could be wrong?

Test while you are actively transferring data. Link rate is dynamic.

If you keep clicking the Refresh button in the Wifi Log, the link rate status will change. Might take 10 clicks with in 20sec to see a difference.

As Merlin sated, wifi link is dynamic, so you wont see same link rate 100% of the time. Its like winning a lottery.
