Linksys LGS308

Do all cheap managed switches, such as the Linksys LGS308, require a VLAN-aware router?
Port 1 has router connected to it. Can not configure switch to make port1 also be part of VLAN2 & 3.

Therefore VLAN2 & 3 devices can not access the internet on the router. VLAN2&3 can not access the Router on VLAN1. Linksys says I need a Vlan aware router.

Is there a cheap switch which will work with non VLAN-aware routers?

Would a router, like the Linksys LRT214 (which is VLAN aware), work for me WITHOUT using the LGS308?

Thanks.

It really depends on the switch maker, and even model. There does not seem to be much rhyme or reason. Some switches allow a port to be a member of multiple VLANs untagged (usually using the "General" VLAN port type). Some switches do not allow this. One of the main reasons some switches do not allow this is because it can possibly compromise security by being susceptible to VLAN hopping. As far as value switches that allow a port to be a member of multiple untagged VLANS, there are many but I know the TP-Link Easy Smart series allow this.
