Losing DSL IP connection

ASUS RT-N66U running Tomato Shibby v114 firmware and D-Link 2320B modem has lately been dropping the DSL static IP connection. DSL engineers do not know what causes it. Only way to regain is to have a rebuild on DSL end. Have tried different IPs from new netblock. Router is DHCP enabled with 10 assigned IP addresses.
