MAC Address in router RT-N56U

Hi everybody !

Something curious is hapenning with my router RT-N56U. Its MAC Adrees finishes with "E6", but when I see it in the Windows (Professional 7, 64 bits), it is changed to "E7". FW version is 1.0.1.8l.

Does anybody know why is this hapenning and how to fix it ?

Thanks in advance !

This isn't actually broken. You can see this if you click on the wireless security icon on your Network Map page. The information that comes up for the 2.4GHz. wireless lists both a LAN MAC address and a wireless 2.4GHz MAC address, and they are indeed different by 1 in the last hex digit pair (byte). It is the usual convention to have different router interfaces have different MAC addresses, rather than just a single MAC address that all of the interfaces share.

RogerSC,

Thank you for this usefull explanation !
