There seems to be quite a few thread on this topic for people looking to upgrade beyond the long lasting gigabit standard. Increasing number of devices from motherboards to wireless APs to NAS are starting to include 2.5gbps NICs and I myself have upgraded my entire network.

I thought I would share my findings/shopping list.

Non POE/Street Price:
Netgear MS510TX $200 (4xgig, 2x2.5g, 2x5g, 1x10g, 1xSFP+)
Netgear GS110EMX $200 (8xg, 2x10g)
Mikrotic CRS312-4C-8XG $500 (8x10g, 4 10g/SFP+)
Zyxel XS1930-10 $500 (8x10g, 2SFP+)
QNAP QSW-M2108 $??? (4x1g, 4x2.5g, 2 10g/SFP+)
Engenius ECS2512 $500 (8x2.5g, 4SFP+)

POE/Street Price:
Netgear MS510TXPP $260 (4xg POE, 2x2.5g POE, 2x5g POE, 1x10gig, 1xSFP+)
Zyxel XS1930-12HP $1000 (8x10g POE, 2x10gig, 2xSFP+)
Ubiquiti US-6XG POE $600 (4x10g POE, 2SFP+)
Engenius ECS2512FP $750 (8x2.5g POE, 4SFP+)

There are obviously cheaper unmanaged options as well...

It’s a good idea for comparison but not sure if you want to treat every port the same way? Or price per multi gig port only? How to treat the SFP+ port?
