Manually releasing a DHCP lease

just wondering, is there a command that i can input to release devices from the dhcp list manually? like say i wanna release someone and don't want to wait til the lease expires. i know i can change the time low and let them expire but it would be awesome if i could do it manually.

Thanks

The DHCP protocol doesn't provide any standard method for a server to notify clients that they should release their current lease. The client is responsible for deciding when it wants to release its lease. Under Windows, that would be by using "ipconfig /release".

I know some routers seem to have that functionality, but it's a hack and isn't guaranteed to work with all client.
