MIMO antenna setup

After all that reading about how multipath might be your friend I'm now left to wonder...

If I got two set of antenna with the same ammount of dBi one set that is omnidirectional and one set that is directional and I want to setup a bridge.

What would be wiser to install ?

Will installing omnidirectional (increasing multipath noise) help the signal or hamper it ?

You'll still get multipath with a directional antenna.

Why would you get a directional antenna that didn't have additional gain?

You need at least an antenna with 8 dBi gain to get a significant signal boost.
