Mobile Tethering AX86u

Having issues with this feature
ASUS AX86u Firmware Version:3.0.0.4.388_24386
Mobile Carrier Rogers in Canada
Phone Pixel 9 Pro on Android 16

• Tethering directly to PC works
• When I connect the pixel on tethering, the phone will show up on Asus Network Map (next to the regular isp as cold standby).
• If I remove ISP WAN, It does show USB connected and get IP !!
• But devices don't get internet
• I tweaked the settings
  • Select USB Devices Auto to Manual > None work
  • APN Config Auto to Manual (Selected Rogers) > None work
• Rebooted the router a few times

I tested this (Pixel 7) some 1-2 years ago and it just worked
I was hoping to have a reliable backup if I lose internet ...
