MOCA security

New Around Here
Hi All,

I currently live in an appartment where all appartments networks are meshed back to a single coaxial pipe to the street.

I was wondering if there is a way to not have my signal leave my appartment (into to another appartment).

I know i can enable encryption but just wanted physical security also if possible.

So topology is like:

MOCA Hub (remote)--------Street-------Building splitter---->App1/App2/App3

simply use a cable amplifier with return path - connect main service cable after it's inside, then feed all outlets from that. It will block any MoCA signals from leaving your home.

what you describe isn't unique to apartments.

Also, most all MoCA has an option for encryption.

Thanks for the reply, as I understand your advise is to place the aplifier here (assuming I'm appartment 1):

MOCA Hub (remote)--------Street-------Building splitter---->App1(amplifier)/App2/App3

wouldnt that stop my adapter inside my appartment from reaching the hub because the amplifier cant sit between the adapter (inside appartment) and the MOCA server.

I misunderstood- I thought that the MoCA belonged to you alone.
I thus am confused by the diagram. As if the MoCA in the diagram mates with one MoCA device in each apartment?
