Monitor TIME on internet

Hello all,

I have an AC68U router, and it rocks.

Anyway, I have 4 children. The "house commander" and I have differing views on just how much time our kids are on the internet. I'd like to limit their time, but I need to show the wife statistics so she can see I'm not exaggerating.

How can I monitor how much TIME the kids are on the internet? I have the Merlin firmware installed (am willing to go to any firmware) that can do real-time monitoring by IP, but while I can show the wife how much bandwidth they are using over the course of a time slice, I need to show her how long they were on.

I'm a developer, so am not afraid to dig deep, but I'm a database guy, not a networking guy.

Any ideas?

Use Microsoft Family Safety, It will send you a weekly report on their internet use and times.
