My desktop PC looses connection.

New Around Here
Hi all, i'm new here and a newbie when it comes to networking so I need your help.

I've bought a AC66U router last week, updated to the latest stock FW, setup everything etc. and it seemed to work good. However my desktop PC looses connection to the internet every few days or so, and when that happens I can't even access the routers web interface from my browsers. It's shows either a blank page, or sometimes I get this message:

Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh.
Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now be disconnected from RT-AC66U.
To access the settings of RT-AC66U, reconnect to the wireless network and use the updated IP address and port number.

To restore connection to the internet, I need to unplug and plug in the ethernet cable from the back of the router (or restart the PC)

Now the thing is, I had a D-link router before this one, and my PC lost connection too but I've managed to solve the issue at that time by DHCP reserving an IP to my pc, and after that I've never lost connection ever again.

I did the same IP reservation on this new router, but it seems like it didn't solve this issue this time. What can be wrong? My WiFi doesn't disconnect, so it has to be PC related as far as I know, but everything worked perfectly on my previous ancient D-link router.

Help?

you wouldn't by chance have something like a usb wireless card to test with?

It wouldn't hurt to update the driver on your PC network card if you haven't done it recently.

Ok I have installed the latest drivers for the network card, will report back if the disconnection happens again. But I seriously doubt it has anything to do with the drivers.
