n66u wifi disconnects?

N66uASUS

Occasional Visitor
my lan works fine but for some reason the wifi disconnects every other day and i'd have to reboot it. im using the latest stock asus firmware and im not sure why this is happening.

Are you still using the sdk5 build?

Hard reset and reconfigure (no loading a cfg file) all entries again if coming from a sdk6 build is mandatory.

If it is apple devices disconnecting then there are many threads about this (apple issue).

Yes using sdk5 build right now

I uploaded the firmware through administration then I factory reseted using the 192.168.1.1 website.

I'm not sure about the cfg loading thing.

Not apple devices - all devices are disconnecting on WiFi but ethernet is fine

.........

so far in my sdk5 test - my 4 bar went to 5 on my desktop with a pci express card so range / signal strength got better

Push and hold the reset button next to the USB ports for about 6 seconds (power light will start flashing).

Setup all entries again manually.

I have noticed this issue recently anyone know why it is happening? RT-N66U with MBP running bootcamp win 8.1.

It worked fine for months now seems to drop out. I change between 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz and it sorts it out.
