Am a bit new to this hardware and wish I found this forum before purchasing the following. A seagate FreeAgent Goflex home 3tb drive.
The drive seems to be functioning fine and have setup shares and successfully transferred files.
My question pertains to the seagate destop software that loads in my taskbar on system boot. It seems to constantly poll the system drive. I feel it has to do with the networking function of the drive or the memeo instant backup feature.
Is this polling normal and will it reduce the life of the system drive or shouldn't I be concerned. TIA
