New Around Here
Hey guys, I recently got an e4200. I live in a big house and have a guest house that needs wifi connection. On average there are about 15-20 wireless devices connected to my e4200. And because of that I have been having speed, range issues.
I currently got a 15mb internet connection. Devices connected consists of iphones, ipads, ipod touch, laptops and PCs. Mostly doing netflix, youtube streaming, and occassional online gaming. QOS did not help my issues (dropping connections, slow speeds).
I need advice on how to add range (first priority) and without sacrificing performance.
Based on my research, the options i found are to add a repeater which I dont like because it cuts throughput by half
and then there is an option to get one of those powerap N ultra range routers, can't find many reviews on this though. or last option look for a far more stronger router maybe commercial grade one??
my budget is about 500 dollars and less.
SOrry about my english but to sum it all I need suggestions in making a wireless network that has a high range (about 5-10,000 sq m) and can handle a lot of connections ( about 15-20 wireless devices heavily streaming movies)
THank you for any advice.
If having a repeater is an option which would be a great repeater? I tried the universal repeater from netgear and its crap
