Need help choosing a wireless router!

Recently my D-link dir-615 has died and I'm looking for a new wireless router to buy. I want to get a n600 dual band router for around $100 where the wireless is consistent and does not drop, because I play online a lot, have it be on my PS3 or PC. I went down to walmart and bought a Linksys n600 EA2700 and it has horrible wireless, whenever I try playing an online game on my ps3, it keeps dropping me from the game. I'm planning on returning it, any suggestions would be highly appreciated. I'm pretty new to wireless networking but I also want a router that lets me use another one as another access point or repeater with ease.
